PP Pipes

Polypropylene (PP) pipes are a type of thermoplastic polymer derived from propylene. These pipes offer a range of beneficial properties, making them suitable for various applications. Unlike HDPE pipes, PP pipes are formed by the polymerization of propylene. Here are key details about PP pipes:

Composition and Characteristics:

  • Polypropylene pipes are formed by the polymerization of propylene.

  • These pipes are tough, waxy materials with varying flexibility.

  • Typically formulated with an anti-oxidant and pigments or substances designed to screen out ultraviolet radiation in sunlight.

UV Protection:

  • PP pipe products are protected against deterioration from exposure to ultraviolet light and weathering.

  • Similar to HDPE, black PP pipes may contain carbon black (2 to 3%) to protect them from UV deterioration.

PP Pipe Specifications:

  • Size range from 20mm to 315mm OD.

  • Pressure class from 2.5 Kg/cm² to 16 kg/cm².

  • PE Grades: PE-63, PE-80, PE-100.

  • Confirming to the latest international/national standards ISO 9001:2008, IS:4984:95.
